The next lecture of the Family History Society of NL will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Hampton Hall, Marine Institute, Ridge Road. The Hon. Edward Roberts will discuss the re-formation of the (Royal) Newfoundland Regiment in August and September 1914. The talk will also reference the 2000 Newfoundlanders who served in the Royal Navy and the 3400 who were in the Canadian Army between 1914 and 1918. Resources that are available to those whose family members served between 1914 and 1919 will be explored. This is a free presentation and non-members are welcome to attend.
