Landbird Species at Risk in Newfoundland and Labrador

<!--StartFragment-->In her presentation, Krista Baker, Species at Risk Biologist, Environment Canada - Canadian Wildlife Service in St. John’s, will briefly introduce seven landbird species found in the province that have been listed as Endangered, Threatened, or Special Concern, three  landbirds assessed as at-risk by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC), but not yet listed under SARA, and one landbird listed under the N.L. Endangered Species Act. For each species Dr. Baker will describe the status of its recovery implementation and summarize preliminary results. She will also identify ways that citizens can become involved with research and population recovery initiatives.
