The fair dealing provision in the Copyright Act permits use of a copyright-protected work without permission from the copyright owner or the payment of copyright royalties. Faculty members and instructors are invited to learn how to interpret this provision using Memorial Universitys Fair Dealing Requirements for course materials, as well as how to apply fair dealing in general.
