The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is scholarly thought and research that investigates the relationship between teaching and learning. 

This presentation will examine the nature of SoTL as it has developed and grown throughout higher education and within the academic literature during the past three decades. With a particular emphasis upon the institutional and disciplinary terrain of SoTL we ask what the future might hold for SoTL here at Memorial University. Drawing on the existing strengths of Memorial's teachers and scholars we will explore how we might improve higher education by building more responsive and connected academic communities.
