Be sure to attend this year's annual employee barbecue on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the Paton College courtyard. Bring along a cash donation or non-perishable food item for the campus food bank, and receive a ballot that gives you a chance to win many excellent door prizes, including a romantic getaway for two, tickets to Ice Caps games, gift certificates to popular restaurants and so much more.

Our emcee again this year is Memorial graduate Kenny Hammond. Sammy the Sea-Hawk will drop by for a visit and magician Mark Bailey and juggler/balloon man James Burke will perform. The barbecue is sponsored again this year by Honeywell, with Memorial celebrities on hand to serve up hot dogs, hamburgers, mussels and bologna. Enjoy cold beverages, a reduced cash bar, music and entertainment. Please note that this year's barbecue starts earlier than in previous years, at 2:30 p.m.
