Last Days in Vietnam

By Janet Harron | April 24, 2015

To mark the 40th anniversary of the fall of Saigon, Memorial's Department of Sociology and the Avalon Woodturners Guild are co-sponsoring a free screening of the Academy Award-nominated documentary Last Days in Vietnam.

A Q&A with world-renowned wood artist Binh Pho will follow the screening. On April 28, 1975, Mr. Pho was a teenager who narrowly missed being evacuated when American troops began to withdraw from the capital city of South Vietnam. His story is featured in the film.

The screening will take place on Tuesday, April 28, and begins at 7 p.m. in room A-1043 of the Arts and Administration building. Free parking is available in lot 15B.
