Update on water quality, Thursday, Aug. 6

Aug. 6, 2015

As of 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 6, water restrictions have been lifted in the following 10 additional buildings:

  1. 1 Clarke Place
  2. 4 Clarke Place
  3. 6 Clarke Place
  4. 202 Elizabeth Ave.
  5. 208 Elizabeth Ave.
  6. Cartier Court
  7. Cluett Hall
  8. Burke House
  9. Squires House
  10. Spencer Hall

Staff are now in the process of removing old signage from these buildings and replacing it with new signage to indicate the change in status. They will also be relocating the bottled water supplies in these buildings to other locations that are still on a bottled water supply. For a complete listing of status by building, please visit http://www.mun.ca/vpc/water-location.php

Testing is still ongoing to determine the cause of elevated lead levels in the water entry point to some buildings. When information is available, it will be shared with the university community via Newsline, social media and www.mun.ca.

For more information about Memorial’s water quality testing and test results received to date, please visit http://www.mun.ca/health_safety/waterqualityupdate.php. The purple cells in the chart indicate that signage is in the process of being removed.
