Podcast wraps for '08

Dec. 19, 2008

Memorial’s weekly podcast is ending 2008 with a special holiday-themed show.

The latest edition of Studio 1024, which is produced by the Division of Marketing and Communications, is now online.

Co-hosts Jeff Green and Meaghan Whelan bring you stories from around the university as Memorial celebrates the season.

On this week’s show listeners will hear why Economics professor Dr. Wade Locke donated his recent prize from this year’s President’s Awards to a local group.

Student reporter Jillian Terry offers her insight on consumer spending during the holidays, and Dr. Eddy Campbell, acting president of Memorial, is along with a special message for students, faculty and staff.

The special show also includes joyful sounds from a concert by students and faculty from the School of Music, and listeners will also hear how members of the university community are spending their holidays.

Studio 1024 was first launched in the fall of 2006.

The show is a weekly roundup of news and events from Memorial.

Dave Sorensen is the producer of Studio 1024 and Ivan Muzychka is the executive producer.

It returns in January 2009.
