Memorial screens student documentaries

Budding filmmakers at Memorial will show off their latest projects during a special event on the St. John’s campus.
Music Docs is a screening of documentaries made by students in the Music 6807 Video Documentary Production course taught at Memorial by local filmmaker Derek Norman.
Three documentary films will be shown focusing on Inuit drumming and throat singing, Scottish step dancing, the RPM challenge, a contest whereby young musicians had a month to release an album.
The screenings take place on Wednesday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m., in the Petro Canada Hall in the School of Music.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
