Podcast kicks off holiday season

Dec. 11, 2009

Memorial’s weekly podcast is ending 2009 with a special holiday-themed show.

The latest edition of Studio 1024, which is produced by the Division of Marketing and Communications, is now online.

Co-hosts Jeff Green and Mandy Cook bring you the beautiful sounds from the School of Music's annual Christmas concert at The Kirk in St. John's, and you can find out how you can be in the upcoming first annual mummer's parade instead of just watching it.

As well, get the Centre for Newfoundland Studies' top Newfoundland Christmas reading picks and you can also listen in to some voices from around campus sharing how they will spend the holiday season. And to top it all off, Dr. Chris Loomis, Memorial's president and vice-chancellor pro tempore, is along with a special message for students, faculty and staff.

Studio 1024 was first launched in the fall of 2006.

The show is a weekly roundup of news and events from Memorial.

Dave Sorensen is the producer of Studio 1024 and Ivan Muzychka is the executive producer.

It returns in January 2010.
