Open forum for VPA candidate search

Sept. 24, 2010

The Search Committee for the Vice-President (Academic) and Pro Vice-Chancellor announced at the end of July has been active and is in the process of finalizing the position profile, candidate requirements and advertising strategy.

The committee, which is chaired by the president and includes student representatives, faculty and staff, is seeking input on this important task. Members of the university community are invited to provide input to the Search Committee for the Vice-President (Academic) and Pro Vice-Chancellor.

Dr. Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor, together with members of the search committee will be there to hear your views on the following questions:

1. What are the strategic priorities for the incoming VP?

2. What are the desired candidate qualifications/characteristics?

Two sessions will take place. The first will occur on Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Petro-Canada Hall in the School of Music.

The second forum will occur on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 3:30-5 p.m. at D.F. Cook Recital Hall in the School of Music.
