Governor General helping celebrate student innovation
His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will be visiting Memorial University's St. John's campus on June 24 to attend Innovation Celebration, an event hosted by Student Affairs and Services and the Memorial University Students’ Union.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. His Excellency will be in attendance from 11 a.m. to approximately 12 p.m. and will address the audience at 11:30 a.m. Attendance will be by invitation during the Governor General’s visit and open to the Memorial community from 1-3 p.m.
Students at Memorial do amazing things. This event will showcase projects that students have undertaken with assistance from the Student Innovation Fund, from building award rally cars, to winning international business competitions, producing videos and plays and aiding in relief efforts around the world.
Please join the celebration of the places they go, wonderful things they do, and lives they touch.
