Today’s the day! It’s the first day of Memorial University’s annual spirit week and you’re all invited.

From Oct. 23-28, a full itinerary of spirit week events and activities will bring students, staff, faculty and alumni together to celebrate the university experience at Memorial’s St. John’s campus, Grenfell Campus and the Marine Institute during MUNdays 2014. 

Stack ’em high! The six-day schedule of events kicks off in St. John’s today, Thursday, Oct. 23, from 7:30-9:15 a.m. with a campus-wide Pancake Breakfast. Come get tasty breakfast treats at the Main Dining Hall! A non-perishable food item is all it costs to get in. Don’t forget to register at www.mun.ca/mundays/register.

Once everyone is full, the Official Launch of I ♥ MUNdays happens at 9:15 a.m.,followed bythe Spirit Parade at 9:30 a.m. Leave the Main Dining Hall and join in this energetic march around campus and wave a flag, hoot and holler, represent your house, club, society or faculty . . . or just show some general spirit, loudly. The most spirited group gets $1,000! Will longstanding Spirit Parade champions, the Pakistani Student Association, take top honours again this year? At the Marine Institute, I ♥ MI MUNdays begins with MI’s first Living Library, where a collection of human “books” from various career backgrounds may be offered on “loan” to visitors who may “borrow” a human book for up to 30 minutes for an open conversation. Don't forget to pick up your free tickets for Friday's Breakfast Bazaar and next Tuesday's BBQ lunch - there are limited tickets available! 

I ♥ Grenfell celebrations kick off tomorrow with the official launch and flag parade in the Arts and Science Atrium. Stick around for Keep Calm and Yoga On, and don't miss the Glow-in-the-Dark Dash & Social at 8 p.m.
