Remembering Phyllis McCann
2014 marks the third year for Terrys Cause on Campus. The School of Social Work has chosen to honour Phyllis McCann, our friend, colleague and supporter, who died in May of 2014 by creating a team in her name. Team Social Work: Remembering Phyllis McCann is fitting as Phyllis named the Terry Fox Foundation as a charity of her choice. Colleagues also remember her commitment to MemorialUniversity, to students/student learning and to wellness so it seems fitting to name a team in her honour.
To join our team or to make a donation in memory of Phyllis, please visit:
Individuals/departments are also welcome to create your own team or participate in the walk as an individual in memory of Phyllis or to support a colleague or friend who is living or deceased.
Terrys Cause on Campus is part of the National Terry Fox Day, specifically for universities and colleges. Let us join together on September 25 to honour Terry Fox, his Marathon of Hope and to remember colleagues like Phyllis who offered hope for learning and success through her commitment to exemplary service to students and colleagues.
