The Roderick J. White Foundation for Science And Reason In Society, or SARIS, is hosting its second annual SARIS lecture, this time on the topic of assisted suicide / medically assisted dying.

The event will consist of an opening lecture by Jocelyn Downie, Professor at Dalhousie Law School, followed by a debate on the issue with questions from the audience. There will be a reception to follow. The legal status of physician assisted dying in Canada is currently under review, with a ruling from the Supreme Court of Canada in a landmark case to be decided shortly.
