Planned as an annual event, the lecture is designed to address legal issues of public concern and to unite Memorial University, the Law Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador in a venture seeking to examine the public interest.

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Derek Green, Chief Justice of Newfoundland and Labrador on the topic of Re-Imagining Justice: Finding local solutions to the access crisis. A reception will follow.

The event is open to all and parking is available in lots 9 and 9A.
