Journal celebrates 20 years
After two decades, one of this province's most respected academic journals is still going strong.
In fact, it has a new name, a new look and there are plans to start digitizing its entire collection of articles and book reviews to post on its Web site.
The former Newfoundland Studies is now officially known as Newfoundland and Labrador Studies. The revamped journal includes a beautifully-designed glossy colour cover, which is not only eye-catching but provides information about each edition's contents.
In honour of its 20th anniversary, a reception was held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in Memorial University's INCO Innovation Centre.
Past editors, writers and current staff were on hand for the event.
